$20+ Million Verdict for an Excavation Trench Collapse
The Lipsig Law Firm successfully completed a three-week jury trial that resulted in a damages verdict of more than $20 million for our client, a construction worker injured in an excavation trench collapse in the Bronx. Unsafe shoring caused the trench to partially collapse while he was operating a demolition power saw, striking him with falling dirt. We proved that the property owner was legally responsible for the accident. Our client suffered deep lacerations requiring over 100 sutures to his face and chest, along with serious traumatic injuries to his neck, back, and shoulder. The verdict awarded damages for his loss of earnings, medical expenses, and pain and suffering, securing justice and financial recovery for his injuries.
